Hany Aziz, MD

I’ve had the privilege of working with Valley Anesthesia Associates for many years, and I’ve found the anesthesia providers competent in managing the complexity of all hemodynamic systems together. In my role as Chief of Hospitalist Services for San Joaquin Community Hospital, I’ve had many interactions with the Anesthesia team (MDAs) in the ICU/Critical Care Unit. Many of these MDAs have been doing CV anesthesia, managing balloon pumps, initiating CVVHD in the Operating Room, transfusing and initiating pressors, among other tasks to sustain the patient in the OR. They are very proactive in preventing problems before they even happen, following policy for great sedation/pain management protocols. For intense patient sedation in ICU/CCU, I’ve found that they do not under/over treat pain or under/over sedate patients, and their choice of sedation follows the established formularies.
